The role of Event Manager is a crucial position within US Tech Solutions, designed to provide specialized support for two of its Global Markets flagship events: Bridge and HFES. This is a fixed-term contract position lasting four months, situated in Jersey City, NJ. The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of meticulously planning, coordinating, and managing these high-profile events from inception to completion. Abiding by stringent budget constraints and strict timelines, the Event Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including event owners, internal teams from marketing, communications, and sales departments, and external vendors like caterers, audio-visual providers, and decorators to guarantee the seamless execution of all event components.
The position demands an individual with 3 to 5 years of demonstrable experience in event management, preferably within the financial services sector, complemented by excellent project management and communication skills. The role involves hands-on management of event logistics, budget oversight, website and registration platform maintenance, travel and accommodation arrangements, and on-site event coordination such as registration, catering, and technical support. Job Duties
- Provide event planning and coordination support for Bridge and HFES, working closely with the event owners, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful execution
- Assist in the development and management of event budgets, timelines, and logistics
- Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, communications, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective promotion of the events
- Manage relationships with external vendors, such as caterers, audio-visual providers, and decorators, to ensure high-quality delivery of services
- Develop and maintain event websites, registration platforms, and other digital channels as required
- Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for speakers, attendees, and staff as needed
- Provide on-site event management support, including registration, catering, and audio-visual coordination
- Conduct post-event evaluations and KPIs and provide recommendations for future improvements
