Job Description
Walters Wedding Estates is a renowned event venue specializing in hosting exquisite weddings and upscale events. Known for its stunning setting and dedication to delivering memorable experiences, Walters Wedding Estates prides itself on offering exceptional food and beverage services in a luxurious and welcoming environment. The venue's commitment to excellence is reflected in every detail of the events they manage, ensuring that clients enjoy a flawless and unforgettable celebration. Operating in a dynamic and fast-paced industry, Walters Wedding Estates caters to diverse clientele who seek personalized and high-quality event solutions.
The role of Event Manager at Walters Wedding Estates is a pivotal position within the food and beverage team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This part-time position primarily focuses on weekends and evenings when events are taking place, which means candidates must be available and willing to work during weekends, holidays, and late nights. With an hourly wage ranging from $19 to $21 based on experience, the Event Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and successful execution of all events. Additionally, the role offers a 401k plan with a 4% match, presenting a valuable benefit for employees.
As an Event Manager, you will be at the forefront of operational excellence during events, leading the food and beverage and back-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will be responsible for assisting in the hiring and training of banquet employees including bartenders, servers, and dishwashers, ensuring that the team is well-prepared and aligns with the venue’s high standards. Maintaining attendance records such as clock-in and clock-out procedures and scheduling hourly staff to cover events with sufficient staffing levels are fundamental duties.
Delivering 5-star service by executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) flawlessly is a key responsibility. This involves meticulous attention to detail in setting up and breaking down event spaces while following safety and sanitary guidelines, including safe food handling practices. The Event Manager will nurture and develop employees through hands-on training, coaching, and providing constructive feedback during events to foster a productive and motivated team.
Operationally, the Event Manager leads the food and beverage and back-of-house operations throughout events, ensuring that all aspects run seamlessly from start to finish. Attention to venue cleanliness both before and after events ensures an inviting atmosphere for guests. Additionally, the role may involve assisting in procuring and ordering event-specific supplies, including alcohol, while overseeing timely delivery and quality control to meet event requirements.
The Event Manager is expected to uphold company standards, policies, and procedures consistently, reinforcing the venue’s reputation for excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about event management, eager to work in a high-energy environment, and committed to creating unforgettable celebrations. If you thrive in dynamic settings, enjoy leading teams, and have a keen eye for detail and hospitality, Walters Wedding Estates invites you to apply and become a vital part of their exceptional event management team.
