The company prides itself on its dedication to associate satisfaction, career development, and an inclusive workplace culture, as evidenced by its Great Place to Work certification. This commitment is reflected in competitive salaries, comprehensive medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and ongoing professional training opportunities offered to its associates.
The Event Manager role, titled Lifestyle Director at FirstService Residential, plays a vital role in enhancing community life by planning, executing, and promoting a diverse range of social, recreational, and cultural events. This full-time position offers a competitive annual compensation starting at $55,000, with salary commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. The role is based primarily at the Scottsdale Corporate Office with onsite responsibilities in community locations such as Buckeye, AZ. Working primarily Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., this position also requires flexibility to attend evening and weekend community events.
As the Lifestyle Director, the successful candidate will serve as a director for resident programs focused on community engagement and quality of life enhancement. Responsibilities include planning and executing community-wide signature events such as outdoor movie nights and family-friendly activities throughout the year. The Event Manager will develop and manage budgets, oversee programming and scheduling of community facilities, assist with club and facility rentals, and cultivate partnerships with local businesses to support sponsorship opportunities.
Additionally, this role oversees the creation and promotion of community newsletters, public relations, and marketing materials. The Event Manager is responsible for developing a robust volunteer program to encourage resident participation, coordinating fee collections where applicable, and providing timely responses to amenity and event inquiries. This position demands strong multitasking abilities, exceptional customer service skills, and knowledge of licensing requirements pertaining to public events such as music and movie screenings.
Education preferences for the role include a degree in recreation, hospitality, or communication, although the critical requirement is a minimum of three years’ experience coordinating and promoting activities and events. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects, and engaging with diverse community members and organizations. Physical demands involve mobility throughout community areas, moderate periods of desk work, and the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds safely.
FirstService Residential offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid sick and vacation time, health savings and flexible spending accounts, company-paid life insurance, and an employee assistance program. Supplemental insurance options such as disability, critical illness, and accident coverage are available, alongside identity theft protection and legal services. The company also provides a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match.
Joining FirstService Residential as an Event Manager means becoming part of a respected and innovative organization dedicated to community well-being, professional growth, and workplace excellence. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to impact resident experiences positively through creative programming and effective community management.
