Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 1 year of collegiate or professional stadium and/or large arena event management experience
  • Experience in leading part-time staff and/or vendors in an event setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work with departments and outside parties in creating event plans
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work long, irregular hours as dictated by events schedule
  • Ability to make decisions in pressure situations
  • Commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in collegiate or professional stadium and/or large arena event management
  • Preferred experience with Division 1, Power-5 athletic programs
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, CAD, and Photoshop for event maps and signage
  • Master's degree in Sport Management or related field is a plus
  • Two years of collegiate or professional football stadium and/or large arena event management experience is preferred

Job Duties

  • Coordinate planning and execution of athletic events for Soccer, Lacrosse, Baseball, and support football and track and field events
  • Serve as main point of contact for game operations and event management
  • Recruit, interview, hire, supervise and evaluate temporary and student staff
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external departments including facilities, ticketing, media relations, marketing, and emergency services
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate event management services and staff scheduling
  • Oversee event security coordination, credential planning, access control and communication
  • Manage event budgeting and ensure compliance with NCAA, Big Ten, University policies, and safety regulations
