The Event Lead Chef position at Constellation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, offers an exciting part-time opportunity for experienced culinary professionals to lead and inspire kitchen teams during various events. This role is pivotal in ensuring that meal services exceed expectations by overseeing food preparation, presentation, and safety adherence. The compensation range is competitive, offering $30 to $32 per hour, with a $500 bonus incentive awarded after completing 15 shifts within 90 days. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of event catering and fine dining standards. The successful candidate will train kitchen staff, manage food inventory, ensure safe kitchen practices, and maintain accurate documentation such as food logs and event recaps.

With over three years of relevant event and fine dining experience, candidates bringing a solid background in culinary leadership will thrive in this role. Experience in supervisory roles and possession of a ServSafe Certificate are advantageous. Job Duties

  • Training event cook staff as needed
  • Ensuring that kitchen has correct product and food preparation for event menu
  • Participating in all aspects of food preparation and presentation
  • Completing relevant paperwork, food logs, and event recaps
  • Ensuring that kitchen staff adheres to all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations
