Job Description

The Dinner Table Club is an innovative social dining community that aims to bring strangers together around shared meals, creating an environment perfect for making new connections and experiencing some of the best restaurants in major cities. Operating in vibrant metropolitan locations such as New York City, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Miami, and San Francisco, the club has successfully hosted over 200 events and served upwards of 2,100 guests. Their events are designed to foster genuine human interaction through thoughtfully curated dinner parties that include seat rotations, encouraging attendees to meet multiple new people throughout the evening. As a rapidly growing company, The Dinner Table Club is expanding its team to support and enhance these unique social experiences.

The part-time Event Host role is integral to the success of these events. Unlike a full-time position, this opportunity offers flexible scheduling, with hosts typically managing 1-2 events per month alongside a co-host. It is ideally suited for individuals seeking a side role that combines social engagement with event management within a purpose-driven team environment. As the face of The Dinner Table Club during events, you will be responsible for coordinating closely with restaurant partners to ensure the event runs smoothly, warmly welcoming guests, and facilitating the evening’s programming including the signature seat switches between courses.

This role requires arriving early to oversee setup and liaise with the restaurant’s general manager, managing guest check-ins through an app, making timely announcements, and keeping the flow of the evening on track. Hosts will be expected to capture engaging photo and video content that showcases the ambiance, culinary creations, and diverse guests, which helps promote future events and build a vibrant community online. A key part of your duties also includes communicating with restaurant staff about service timing and confirming the final guest count at the close of each event.

Successful candidates for this role will be based in the greater Miami area and bring experience from hospitality, event coordination, restaurant service, social media, content creation, or community-building backgrounds. Warmth, sociability, and the ability to make strangers feel comfortable and connected in a social setting are crucial. Reliability, organization, strong communication skills, and follow-through are essential traits. Comfort with using mobile devices to capture content, including short videos, will help you thrive in this role.

The position involves evening shifts, typically on weeknights, with events lasting about 3 hours plus additional time for preparation and wrap-up, totaling around 4 hours per shift. Compensation is hourly and paid per event, with specific details provided during the interview process. Joining The Dinner Table Club means becoming part of a small, fast-growing team focused on creating meaningful community impact through social dining experiences. If you are passionate about hospitality and social connection and want to contribute to a brand experiencing rapid growth, this event host position offers an exciting and fulfilling opportunity.
