Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • One year of experience in an event-related position preferably in a meeting or hotel environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and manage challenging situations under pressure
  • Capability to perform detailed work while providing high-level customer service
  • Skills to plan, organize, and supervise personnel
  • Ability to diagnose and solve various problems
  • Capacity to analyze and coordinate facility capabilities with client needs
  • Competence to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage high-paced event environments and adjust to last-minute changes
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, and grasping
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing at least 25 pounds
  • Ability to move and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds using carts or pallet jacks

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • One year in an event-related position preferably in a meeting or hotel environment
  • Knowledge of facility management basics or event planning
  • Experience with technical production equipment
  • Familiarity with guest service practices for large groups
  • Ability to work effectively within diverse teams
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Serve as primary client event contact in the absence of the Event Manager
  • Supervise events and event operations to meet client needs
  • Plan and discuss event details with operations and support staff
  • Assure readiness of items needed for events including signage, room sets, and exhibitor services
  • Ensure readiness of venue common spaces to provide a premium experience for guests
  • Manage digital signage throughout the facility to reflect current and upcoming event information
  • Oversee and manage the exhibitor ordering process including pre-event, event-day, and post-event activities
  • Serve as the customer service representative for exhibitor inquiries regarding venue services
  • Assist Event Management with scheduling, client gifts, and departmental administrative duties
