The Event Facilities Associate role at the San Antonio Botanical Garden is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of a wide array of events ranging from intimate meetings to large galas. This full-time position demands flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the events hosted at the Garden. The associate is responsible for the preparation, setup, and breakdown of events across the Garden's unique venue spaces. They work directly with the Operations and Events teams to maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of all event areas as well as support the enforcement of Garden policies during events.

Working at the Garden requires a blend of physical stamina, technical skill, and excellent communication abilities. Day-to-day duties include following detailed setup diagrams and layouts, handling various equipment such as carts, hand tools, dollies, trucks, trailers, and scissor lifts, and performing light cleaning tasks like mopping and floor buffing. Expertise in operating AV systems in the venue is a significant aspect of this role, as it contributes to memorable event experiences. The position calls for the ability to work independently and as part of a team while traversing the beautiful Garden grounds in diverse weather conditions.
