The organization blends traditional Catholic teachings with contemporary culture, utilizing various communication platforms including video, podcasts, books, and social media to engage audiences deeply with the faith. Its work is mission-driven, focusing on disseminating the Catholic Church's teachings effectively and creatively, making use of digital platforms to broaden its outreach and impact globally.
The Event Creative Specialist plays a pivotal role within the event team, reporting directly to the Events Director. This full-time role is based in Irving, TX and is essential in shaping the creative narrative for experiential events that embody the organization’s missionary focus and cultural resonance. The Event Creative Specialist is responsible for developing creative concepts and storytelling frameworks that guide the entire event experience. These narratives are designed through meticulous research, data-driven insights, and social listening, ensuring the events are relevant and powerful. Beyond concept development, the specialist serves as the key copywriter who executes these narratives across multiple communication channels including emails, websites, and social media platforms, preserving the integrity and fidelity of the story.
This role demands a storyteller at heart who can translate research findings into compelling creative briefs, narrative arcs, and campaign strategies that engage and inspire audiences. The specialist collaborates with creative teams and various communication channel owners to ensure consistent messaging throughout all touchpoints of the event. Furthermore, the role involves identifying subject matter experts and speakers who align with the event's narrative, as well as influencers and content creators who can amplify the ministry’s message and extend its reach. The Event Creative Specialist also partners with the Events Director to measure the success of each event, providing detailed post-event reports and refining strategies for future programs. A critical aspect of the job includes tracking the long-term mission return on investment (ROI) of the events, ensuring alignment with Word on Fire’s overarching goals.
Situated in a dynamic nonprofit environment, this position requires someone with strong organizational skills, keen research abilities, proficiency in copywriting, and a passion for the Catholic mission. The estimated compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $73,000 annually, with additional merit-based increases possible. Word on Fire also offers robust benefits including flexible work-from-home options, comprehensive insurance coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and parental leaves. Overall, the Event Creative Specialist position is an opportunity to blend creativity and faith-driven purpose in a nonprofit setting dedicated to spreading the Catholic faith through powerful experiential events.
