Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • two to three years of event management or equivalent experience
  • excellent communication written and organizational skills
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to communicate effectively and gracefully with customers and donors with maturity and confidentiality
  • ability to work in a demanding fast paced environment
  • ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • availability to work early mornings evenings and weekends
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Salesforce and Google Workspace

Job Duties

  • Respond to corporate rental inquiries and sales of MoMA entertaining spaces
  • liaise with clients on event estimates and walkthroughs
  • coordinate with Financial Coordinator on invoices and billing
  • manage building operations logistics including overtime assignments
  • collaborate with Corporate Membership team to cultivate client relationships and drive revenue growth
  • coordinate select exhibition openings including scheduling and vendor management
  • plan and execute internal and cross-department events
  • manage museum calendar and strategic planning for events
  • provide day-of event production assistance
  • support invitation processes for MoMA events including design and approvals
  • assist with the Museum's major fundraisers
  • develop long-term process improvements
  • act as liaison for Special Events Department
  • assist with liquor inventory and event accounting
  • perform other duties related to event coordination
