Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
experience working with children and children's events
retail or customer service experience
ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others including guests and co-workers
excellent people skills
good communication skills including written, verbal, nonverbal, and listening
organizational skills
interpersonal skills
creative problem-solving skills
ability to remain standing for long periods
ability to move throughout the store
ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment
willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and perform face painting and other activities
facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
communicate events with clients and store team members
complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
adjust plans based on client feedback and needs
create backup or emergency plans
ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
uphold company cleanliness and safety standards and clean before and after each event
help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
provide fast and friendly checkout experience
engage customers on rewards program and credit card enrollments
educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
assist with omni-channel processes like Buy Online Pickup In Store and Ship From Store
participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
support shrink and safety programs
adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
interact respectfully and positively with others
cross train in custom framing selling and production
participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and restroom maintenance
perform other duties as assigned
