Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning and coordination preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google
  • Experience working with vendors and volunteers
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute events related to the Advancement Office
  • Oversee logistics of Grandparents Day, Guardian Stride, and Guardian Golf Classic
  • Serve on the Guardian Bash committee managing event logistics, rentals, and catering agreements
  • Plan and execute Open House, Middle School Nights, and Youth Group Encounter in collaboration with the Director of Admissions
  • Coordinate New Family Picnic and Middle School Mixer as liaison to the Parent Club
  • Assist the Booster Club with event logistics and planning
  • Coordinate alumni reunions including Homecoming and Mass of Remembrance
  • Research and order promotional items and giveaways for events
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers and students supporting events
  • Coordinate catering and set-up for meetings as needed
  • Schedule student groups for offsite community events and feeder schools
  • Manage event-related communications and reporting
  • Plan and implement events related to SMA's upcoming 10-year anniversary
  • Ensure all events reflect the Catholic identity and comply with safety protocols
