Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience working with children and children’s events
  • excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
  • ability to remain standing for long periods
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and accessing high shelves
  • retail or customer service experience required
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • willingness to participate in physical store duties including truck unloading and stocking
  • capacity to engage positively with customers and team members
  • comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • ability to work in a public retail setting
  • ability to maintain store cleanliness and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in event coordination or customer service
  • excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and nonverbal
  • proven ability to work with children and handle children’s events
  • strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • creative problem-solving abilities
  • retail or customer service experience preferred

  • ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage with guests of all ages by fostering a creative and fun environment
  • demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • facilitate party add-ons including goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • modify event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • develop and implement backup or emergency plans
  • ensure client satisfaction during events
  • uphold cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events
  • assist customers with shopping and product location
  • provide quick and friendly checkout experiences
  • promote Rewards program and private label credit cards
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
  • support omnichannel processes including Buy Online Pickup In Store and Ship From Store
  • participate in truck unload, stocking, and maintaining merchandise recovery
  • perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set responsibilities
  • support shrink and safety initiatives
  • adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • interact respectfully with customers and team members
  • cross-train in custom framing sales and production
  • maintain store cleanliness including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom upkeep
