We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join the Terrain Events team. The Event Coordinator will work closely with the Events Manager to ensure smooth and seamless event execution. This role serves as the lead on-site contact for clients, vendors, and staff, maintaining real-time communication and managing event logistics efficiently. As a vital member of the team, the Event Coordinator will oversee day-of operations, from setup to breakdown, ensuring adherence to event timelines while upholding the brand's high standards of service and hospitality. Responsibilities include leading front-of-house staff, supporting back-of-house operations including kitchen expo duties, and ensuring compliance with alcohol service and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in event coordination, planning, or hospitality operations and demonstrate exceptional multitasking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments. This role requires strong interpersonal communication, professionalism in formal settings, and the ability to interpret event timelines and service cues effectively. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, along with a valid alcohol service certification (RAMP training provided if necessary), are essential. Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or move for long hours indoors and outdoors is required. Reliable transportation and punctuality are critical for success in this role.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years in event coordination, planning, or hospitality operations
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional multitasking, delegation, and problem-solving ability
  • Professionalism in high-pressure environments
  • Familiarity with Terrain brand and aesthetic preferred
  • Ability to interpret event timelines, diagrams, and service cues
  • Comfortable with formal event moments such as speeches and dances
  • Valid alcohol service certification (RAMP training provided if needed)
  • Adheres to event attire presentation for proper dress code

Job Duties

  • Lead day-of operations and adhere to event timelines
  • Brief and support front-of-house staff with assigned duties and side-work during event setup and breakdown
  • Serve as a warm, professional host for guests and clients
  • Greet, direct, and manage vendor-specific logistics and timelines
  • Maintain real-time communication with staff, vendors, and clients
  • Act as day-of point person, delegating clear and prompt communication to staff under Events Manager’s direction
  • Support front-of-house and back-of-house teams, assist with kitchen expo duties during dinner service
  • Organize and communicate guest needs and changes efficiently, such as dietary notes
  • Lead and assist with event setup, transitions, and teardown
  • Ensure care and proper use of venue, rentals, and decor
  • Track supplies and notify management for reorders
  • Complete end-of-shift reports and closing checklists as outlined by Event Managers
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol service and health/safety guidelines
  • Monitor and report guest conduct issues or incidents to management
