The Events Coordinator at Mike Jacob Sports Park is a vital role involving the seamless coordination of various events throughout the complex, including athletic competitions, concerts, and non-athletic activities. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this full-time exempt position demands a highly organized and proactive individual who will act as the primary liaison between clients, promoters, and internal departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing event operations from start to finish, ensuring client satisfaction and smooth execution of all events. Key responsibilities include coordinating event and program logistics, communicating with clients throughout the event lifecycle, managing sponsor deliverables, and developing detailed event timelines. The Events Coordinator will also secure entertainment and vendors, collaborate with event staff and stakeholders, and coordinate timing for event changeovers alongside the operations team. Additional duties include maintaining inventory for event supplies and equipment, assisting with staff hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision, and occasionally serving as Manager on Duty to uphold high standards on event days. The role also involves direct participation in venue setup and tear-down, ensuring premier customer service, and successfully managing both small and large-scale sports and non-sports events. A strong knowledge of audio/visual setup and operation is essential, along with the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, hospitality, event planning, or related field preferred
