Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of event planning experience
- Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Ability to travel to various regional locations
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work flexible and varied schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Event planning experience
- Experience in recreation, hospitality, marketing, communication or related fields preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with website content management systems preferred
- Experience with social media platforms and graphic design software such as Adobe, Publisher, Photoshop and InDesign preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent project planning, organization and strategic planning skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible scheduling availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Develop and coordinate all phases of the event planning process including research, design, planning, coordination and evaluation
- Manage and execute multiple events simultaneously including timelines, production schedules, risk assessment, creative design, vendor and venue management, event team coordination and logistics
- Execute on-site and off-site event production including team coordination, set-up, day-of hosting, risk briefing, managing logistics and tear down
- Oversee, review and process accounting and financial matters related to event budgets including processing invoices, contracts, purchase orders and requesting vendor quotes
- Support district teams in the event planning process to ensure successful event experiences
- Develop, design and create marketing plans and materials such as flyers, social media content, newsletters, banners, posters, email campaigns, and event registration management
- Collaborate with military organizations, agencies and businesses for partnership and sponsorship opportunities on programming and events
- Maintain accurate event records, including recaps, attendance statistics, evaluations and event photos
- Support department activities through special projects and collateral duties as assigned
- Comply with OSHA and local laws, Fair Housing regulations and Liberty Military Housing policies
