Job Description
Hornblower Group is a globally recognized leader in experience and transportation, boasting a rich history that spans over 100 years. The company operates internationally, offering a diverse portfolio that includes water- and land-based experiences as well as ferry and transportation services. Through its premier experience division, City Experiences, Hornblower Group provides a variety of dining and sightseeing cruises and walking and food tours under the City Cruises, Walks, and Devour brands. In addition, Hornblower Group operates the largest private fleet of high-speed passenger and vehicle ferries in the United States through its City Ferry division, serving more than 10 million passengers annually across renowned services such as NYC Ferry and Puerto Rico Ferry among other regional ferry systems.
Hornblower Group's operations extend further through its subsidiaries, which include Hornblower Marine, offering vessel maintenance and repair services, and Seaward Services, Inc., which specializes in shipping, waterfront logistics, and management for government and commercial vessels. Another key subsidiary, Anchor Operating System, LLC, provides innovative reservation, ticketing, and website integration services across transportation, tourism, and entertainment industries. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, the Hornblower Group maintains additional corporate offices in major U.S. cities such as San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, New York, as well as international locations including London, Dublin, and Ontario, Canada. The global reach of Hornblower Group spans over 10 countries and more than 50 U.S. cities, serving in excess of 20 million guests annually.
The position of Group Concierge is an essential role within Hornblower Group, focusing on driving the post-purchase experience for group guests while enhancing revenue opportunities through upselling. This role requires the development of strong professional relationships with guests by expertly managing the logistics of group events, ensuring flawless execution and optimal guest satisfaction. Reporting either to the General Manager or Senior Concierge Manager based on location-specific demands, the Group Concierge will spearhead coordination efforts, handle client follow-ups, and facilitate upsell opportunities with deep knowledge of vessel products and enhancements.
Key responsibilities include being the primary liaison between sales and operations teams, overseeing a minimum of 50 events monthly, managing all administrative and operational functions related to bookings—including payment collections—and providing detailed reports and communications that contribute to the success of group experiences. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication and organizational skills, capable of balancing multiple projects and adapting to flexible schedules that may include nights and weekends. The Group Concierge acts as a vital resource for maintaining customer satisfaction, addressing guest issues promptly, and fostering repeat business through thorough follow-up and survey collection.
The role offers an opportunity to join a respected global company dedicated to providing world-class experiences and transportation services. Candidates who thrive in dynamic, customer-focused environments and are eager to contribute to a company driven by its RESPECT service system and inclusive corporate culture will find this position both rewarding and impactful.
