Job Description

The Palace Center in Allentown, PA, is a premier venue known for hosting a wide variety of memorable and successful events. From weddings and corporate gatherings to social celebrations and large-scale parties, The Palace Center has built a reputation for excellence in event coordination and hospitality. Our establishment prides itself on providing an elegant and welcoming environment, complemented by professional services and attention to every intricate detail that ensures each event leaves a lasting impression. We are dedicated to continuous improvement and highly value the commitment of our team members who contribute to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

We are currently seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team at The Palace Center. This role is integral to the seamless execution of events, requiring a highly organized and proactive professional who excels in multi-tasking and problem-solving. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of event planning and management — including working closely with servers, busboys, bartenders, and kitchen staff — to ensure flawless delivery. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to anticipate potential challenges, from the smallest items like napkins at the bar to large considerations such as managing seating arrangements for up to 500-person weddings.

As an Event Coordinator at The Palace Center, you will be tasked with planning events within time and financial constraints while supervising staff, coordinating schedules, managing vendors, and quickly resolving any issues on the day of the event. Your role will also involve evaluating the success of events and compiling detailed reports to assist in refining future operations. We offer full-time, part-time, contract, temporary, and internship employment opportunities, with hourly compensation ranging from $17.00 to $20.00 based on experience and role specifics. Our shifts include 8-hour workdays, evening shifts, and weekend availability as events demand.

This position not only requires proven experience in events management but also demands an enthusiastic and passionate approach to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction. Our mission is to consistently organize unforgettable events that delight our customers and encourage them to return for all their significant occasions. If you are well-organized, enjoy working with diverse personality types, and possess excellent negotiation and communication skills, you will thrive in this fast-paced and rewarding environment. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the potential and dedication to succeed as part of our team.
