Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, event management, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience planning and executing events
  • CMP and/or CSEP certification preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to manage vendors, budgets, and multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort with event technology platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, webinar tools, and registration software
  • Flexible, resourceful, and collaborative
  • Ability to travel to various locations across Michigan including occasional overnight and multi-day travel
  • Punctual, regular, and consistent in-office attendance
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple events simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, event management, or related field

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate member-facing events
  • Manage event logistics including venue booking and catering
  • Oversee registrations and travel arrangements
  • Handle audio-visual technology setup and troubleshooting
  • Build and maintain relationships with venues, hosts, and key associations
  • Identify and secure sponsorship and collaborative event opportunities
  • Conduct post-event follow-up and performance evaluation
