Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience working with children and children’s events
- retail and customer service experience
- excellent people skills
- strong communication skills including verbal, written, and nonverbal
- organizational and interpersonal skills
- creative problem-solving abilities
- ability to engage effectively with guests of all ages
- multitasking and event coordination capabilities
- knowledge of standard operating procedures and safety compliance
Job Duties
- plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
- engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
- demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
- facilitate and implement party add-ons like goody bags and balloons
- communicate effectively with clients and store team members
- complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls
- adjust event plans based on client feedback
- create backup or emergency plans as needed
- ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
- set up, break down, and clean before and after each event
- help customers shop and locate products
- provide fast and friendly checkout experience
- promote rewards program and private label credit cards
- educate customers on customer satisfaction surveys
- assist with online order processes like BOPIS and SFS
- participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
- perform merchandise recovery and maintenance
- support shrink and safety programs
- adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
- maintain a positive and respectful work environment
- participate in daily store cleanliness activities
- cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
- perform other duties as assigned
