Job Description
Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort is a distinguished luxury hotel situated in the scenic Sonoran Desert, placing guests in the heart of the American Southwest's natural beauty and cultural richness. The resort is designed with architectural inspiration drawn from the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright, offering a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere surrounded by dramatic mountain views and enticing botanical landscapes. At Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort, visitors experience an immersive connection to the water features and gardens dispersed throughout the property, amplifying the authentic Southwestern ambiance. Known for its exceptional service and upscale amenities, the resort boasts six distinctive dining destinations led by celebrity chef Richard Blais, expressing the local heritage through elevated culinary creations. This premier destination blends the charm of the desert environment with contemporary luxury, appealing to travelers seeking both relaxation and cultural engagement. Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, established in 1957, have grown into one of the world's most respected hospitality brands committed to fostering a culture of care and belonging among employees and guests alike. The company is driven by its dedication to turning ordinary trips into memorable experiences, making work rewarding by treating colleagues like family. With a rich history and a forward-looking approach to hospitality, Hyatt emphasizes growth, diversity, and personal development within its teams. The role of the Events Coordinator at Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort is vital in delivering outstanding event experiences that reflect the hotel’s high standards of service and guest satisfaction. This position requires close collaboration with Event Sales Managers to navigate contract negotiations and manage the comprehensive servicing of events. Responsibilities cover banquet food, beverage, and setup coordination, including menu planning and agenda preparation to align with client expectations. The coordinator ensures that hotel meeting services and hospitality offerings are seamlessly executed while addressing any special VIP needs. Communication is key in this role—facilitating effective coordination before, during, and after events across various hotel departments to maintain superior quality standards. Additionally, the Events Coordinator supports hosting site inspections, actively participates in event and staff meetings, and plays a critical part in upholding Hyatt’s core values of empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing. The position requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for hospitality. Joining Hyatt means becoming part of a global community offering unparalleled professional development opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a workplace culture focused on empowerment and mutual support.
