Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent education
- Minimum of two years experience in event coordination or related field
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate insurance
- Ability to travel locally and out of area
- Experience with event budget management
- Knowledge of fundraising events and donor engagement
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or completion of two years of college in a relevant field
- Minimum of two years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, public relations, or event coordination
- Experience supporting or executing a wide range of fundraising and engagement events
- Preferably nonprofit or major gifts event experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and donor interaction skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of internet, social media, and online fundraising tools
- Understanding of special event fundraising including auctions and peer-to-peer fundraising
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel
- Valid driver’s license with insurance and good driving record
Job Duties
- Coordinate and execute fundraising and engagement events
- Meet defined fundraising and revenue goals
- Assist with event promotional materials and correspondence
- Promote the organization and its mission through events and outreach
- Develop and manage vendor relationships and contracts
- Monitor event budgets and expenses
- Co-facilitate event planning meetings including preparing agendas and minutes
- Coordinate activities that expand donor and participant involvement
- Track and report fundraising progress and budget performance
- Attend meetings and participate in organization-wide event planning
- Travel to event locations as required
- Perform additional duties to support special events and fundraising
