The available position is for an Event Coordinator who will be responsible for the meticulous planning and management of multiple events. The coordinator will interact with customers, peers, and supervisors, requiring strong communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally across different university levels. Organizational skills are paramount, as the role demands juggling several events concurrently, necessitating careful scheduling and resource management. The candidate will utilize software such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite extensively, along with event management software and scheduling systems, to streamline event planning and execution. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a standard 40-hour workweek, although some flexibility is required for occasional evenings and weekends depending on event schedules.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and manage multiple university events simultaneously
  • Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and supervisors across multiple levels
  • Plan and organize event logistics using event management and scheduling software
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to events
  • Collaborate with university departments and external vendors to ensure event success
  • Assist with setup and breakdown during events as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to inquiries
