Job Requirements

Retail and/or customer service experience required
Experience working with children and children's events
Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
Excellent people skills
Good communication skills including written, verbal, nonverbal, and listening skills
Organizational and interpersonal skills
Capability to stand for long periods and perform physical work including lifting and bending
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed
Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and craft classes
Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
Facilitate and implement party add-ons including goody bags and balloons to company standards
Communicate effectively with clients and store team members regarding events
Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and handling paperwork
Adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
Create backup or emergency plans for events as needed
Ensure client satisfaction and uphold company cleanliness and safety standards
Help customers shop and locate products while providing solutions
Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
Promote and complete enrollments for Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards
Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
Assist with omni-channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
Support shrink and safety programs
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies
Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members
Cross-train in custom framing selling and production
Conduct daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
Perform other duties as assigned
