Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience working with children and children’s events
  • retail and customer service experience
  • ability to remain standing for long periods
  • ability to move throughout the store
  • ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
  • ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders safely
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with diverse customers and co-workers
  • must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment in the US

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • demonstrate and instruct party participants in completing craft projects and perform activities such as face painting
  • facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • create backup or emergency plans for events
  • ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • uphold company cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after events
  • help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • promote rewards program and private label credit cards, assist with enrollments
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • assist with omnichannel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
  • participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
  • complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • perform Store in Stock Optimization and ad set duties as assigned
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies to ensure compliance
  • interact with others respectfully and positively
  • cross train in custom framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining restrooms
  • perform other duties as assigned
