Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in event coordination or retail customer service
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capability to lift, carry, and reach as required
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work weekends, nights, and early mornings as needed
  • willingness to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and ladder use
  • ability to maintain store safety and cleanliness standards
  • must comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Experience planning and coordinating events, especially children’s events
  • prior retail or customer service experience
  • strong communication skills including written and verbal
  • organizational and interpersonal abilities
  • creative problem-solving skills
  • energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • ability to handle job stress and interact positively with guests of all ages
  • experience working with children
  • ability to engage customers and promote store programs
  • familiarity with omni-channel retail processes advantageous
  • cross-training in custom framing preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • demonstrate and instruct participation in craft projects including face painting and party activities
  • facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • communicate effectively with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • create backup and emergency plans as needed
  • ensure client satisfaction for all events
  • uphold cleanliness and safety standards during event setup and breakdown
  • assist customers with shopping and product location
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • promote enrollments in Rewards program and private label credit cards
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • support omni-channel retail processes such as BOPIS and SFS
  • participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • maintain merchandise recovery and store appearance
  • execute Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties as assigned
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • interact respectfully with customers and team members
  • cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping and dusting
