Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Capability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in retail and/or customer service
  • Experience working with children and children's events
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, nonverbal, and listening
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects, face painting, and other activities
  • Facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Handle administrative tasks such as emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust and create backup plans for events based on client feedback
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Assist customers in shopping and locating products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Support Omni channel processes such as BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, merchandise recovery, and store maintenance
  • Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to company policies
  • Maintain positive and respectful interaction with customers and team members
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in store cleanliness including sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Perform other duties as assigned
