Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in event management or hospitality
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move event-related supplies
- Commitment to upholding organizational values and guidelines
- Proficiency with basic office software and communication tools
Job Qualifications
- Experience in event planning and coordination
- Proven ability to lead and manage volunteer teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of hospitality management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Familiarity with wedding and funeral event protocols
- Effective problem-solving and organizational skills
- Experience working in a faith-based or community-focused organization is a plus
Job Duties
- Review event submissions from ministries and external organizations and work with necessary departments to determine our ability to accommodate requests
- Support ministries and external organizations in the planning of their events and ensure they follow organizational guidelines
- Be present at large events to serve as a resource for the ministry or outside organization
- Recruit, train, and lead teams of volunteers to assist with event execution
- Manage and maintain hospitality decor, kitchen facilities, and supply inventory
- Oversee onsite weddings and funerals
- Oversee Ridge Kitchen volunteer team that provides food for Austin Ridge events
- Maintain excellent communication between all Austin Ridge departments involved in event execution as well as ministry and outside organization representatives
- Attend staff meetings as requested
- Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor
