Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
experience working with children and children’s events
retail and/or customer service experience
excellent communication skills including verbal and written
ability to stand for extended periods
ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders
ability to perform bending, carrying, reaching, and stretching
ability to interact positively with guests and co-workers
willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
ability to complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and phone calls
must comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
facilitate and implement party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards
communicate events with clients and store team members
complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
adjust plans based on client feedback and needs
create backup or emergency plans as necessary
ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
uphold cleanliness and safety standards
help customers shop and locate products
provide fast and friendly checkout experience
engage customers on rewards program benefits and complete enrollments
educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
assist with omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
support shrink and safety programs
adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
interact positively and respectfully with others
cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
perform other duties as assigned
