Job Requirements

Ability to remain standing for long periods
Ability to move throughout the store
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
Must comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
Must be able to perform physical tasks required by the job
Must be able to engage with customers and coworkers in a respectful and positive manner
Must be able to perform duties in a public retail store environment

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with children and children’s events
Retail or customer service experience
Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
Organizational and interpersonal skills
Creative problem-solving skills
Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
Energetic and enthusiastic personality

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and perform activities like face painting
Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to company standards
Communicate events with clients and store team members
Complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls
Adjust plans based on client feedback and create emergency backup plans
Ensure client satisfaction and uphold store cleanliness and safety standards
Help customers shop and locate products
Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
Complete merchandise recovery and store cleanliness activities
Support shrink and safety programs
Adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
Interact respectfully with guests and team members and project a positive image
Cross train in custom framing selling and production
