Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service
  • Experience planning or coordinating events, particularly children’s parties
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Comfortable working in a public retail environment
  • Ability to follow company policies and safety standards
  • Willingness to engage with customers and team members positively
  • Must comply with federal, state, and local legal employment requirements

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and perform activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks like answering emails, making phone calls, and documentation
  • Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and develop backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards by setting up and cleaning before and after events
  • Help customers shop, locate products, provide solutions, and offer a fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
  • Educate customers on surveys
  • Assist with omnichannel processes including Buy Online Pickup In Store and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise recovery
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude and serve as a role model
  • Cross-train in custom framing sales and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness tasks including sweeping and dusting
