Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a discipline related to communications, marketing, promotions, or similar program from a regionally accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar or related capacity including an overnight camp environment, youth camp, event planning, promotions
  • Ability to work varying schedules including evenings, holidays, weekends and willingness to stay overnight on campus during certain events
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background investigation

Job Duties

  • Preplan for upcoming events as necessary
  • Attend planning and organizing event meetings to obtain information, activities and details for specific events
  • Plan for and execute all logistical arrangements and maintain communications with appropriate staff regarding progress including ensuring coordination of activities with other on-campus departments such as facilities, janitorial services, food services
  • Setting up the venue with displays, tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, photography/video, catering, special needs accommodations
  • Ensuring an adequate inventory of needed supplies
  • Requesting and ensuring adequate student worker staff is scheduled for all phases of the event
  • Breaking or tearing down event displays and set ups
  • Other duties as assigned
