Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience working with children’s events
  • retail or customer service experience
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle job stress and work effectively with others including guests and co-workers

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • demonstrate and instruct craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • facilitate party add-ons including goody bags and balloons
  • communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • help customers shop and locate products
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
  • educate on Voice of Customer survey
  • assist with omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS
  • participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • maintain merchandise recovery and perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • support shrink and safety programs and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and policies
  • interact respectfully and positively with team members and customers
  • cross-train in custom framing selling and production
  • participate in store cleanliness activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
  • perform other duties as assigned
