Job Requirements
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
- Must meet federal, state, and local legal requirements to work
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed
- Must be able to support store operational tasks including truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining store recovery standards
- Must be able to uphold company policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience working with children and children's events
- Retail and/or customer service experience
- Excellent people skills
- Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
- Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
- Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards
- Communicate events with clients and store team members
- Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed
- Adjust plans and events based on client's feedback and needs
