Job Requirements
- High school education required
- previous experience in catering, convention services, or meeting planning preferred
- minimum one year face-to-face customer service experience
- ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate verbally and in writing in English
- proficiency in computer systems and office equipment
- ability to work cohesively with coworkers
- capacity to think clearly and make concise decisions under pressure
- strong multitasking and organizational skills
- ability to handle stressful situations with a calm demeanor
- physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Previous catering, convention services, or meeting planning experience preferred
- operations or administrative experience in hotels with banquet operation knowledge
- minimum one year experience in a face-to-face customer service role
- high school education required, college degree preferred
- excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- ability to input information accurately and efficiently into computer systems
- ability to work well with coworkers within and outside the department
- strong decision-making skills under pressure
- developed computer proficiencies with Delphi experience a plus
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to maintain a calm and welcoming demeanor in stressful situations
- customer service oriented with a desire to create memorable guest experiences
- proficiency with office equipment including calculators, photocopiers, and fax machines
- excellent telephone etiquette
- physical ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 40 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Assist convention services and catering managers as the onsite liaison or day of coordinator between the meeting planner and operational departments
- communicate with other event concierge team and managers to ensure a seamless experience
- possess basic knowledge of hotel departments and their roles in fulfilling guests' needs
- manage and assist all aspects of hotel events including day-to-day coordination
- be available during peak times to assist with directionals
- ensure arrangements during meetings and conferences meet specifications and guest satisfaction
- proactively resolve problems and keep clients advised on event statuses
