Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in hospitality or event coordination
  • Valid Food Handler's card
  • Knowledge of Forbes service standards
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Wine and spirit knowledge
  • Previous catering, convention services, or meeting planning experience preferred
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Computer proficiency including event management software
  • Ability to handle pressure and customer interactions gracefully

Job Duties

  • Assist Convention Services and Catering Managers as the onsite liaison between Meeting Planner and operational departments
  • Communication with other Event Concierge team and Managers to ensure seamless experience
  • Basic knowledge of hotel departments and purpose in fulfilling guest needs
  • Manage and assist all aspects of hotel events to include day to day coordination
  • During meetings and conferences, ensure arrangements are to specifications and guest satisfaction
  • Proactively resolve problems and keep clients advised on event statuses including follow ups
  • Multi-task and prioritize multiple requests and information
  • Utilize software for generation of necessary documents and changes
  • Detailed knowledge of hotel meeting space, group dynamics and event details
  • Recommend special outside services when required
  • Coordinate and attend pre-convention meetings
  • Oversee setup, replenishment, and presentation of buffet stations ensuring food quality and visual appeal
  • Monitor food safety and sanitation practices ensuring compliance with health regulations
  • Collect and analyze guest feedback to improve experience promptly
  • Support planning and execution of special events or group bookings
