Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or hospitality
  • proficiency in hotel management software
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • professional appearance and demeanor
  • physical ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years in customer service or hospitality
  • experience in event planning, banquets, or front desk is a strong plus
  • proficiency in hotel systems such as Opera, Delphi, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • flexible schedule with availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • professional demeanor and appearance
  • strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • assist Convention Services and Catering Managers with coordination of groups as needed
  • meet group meeting planner prior to functions and assist throughout the program
  • establish rapport with clients and function as Manager's liaison
  • manage special projects as assigned by Department Manager
  • act as a liaison between clients and all internal departments
  • attend pre-cons, resume and Banquet Event Order meetings
  • receive signed Banquet Event Orders for all functions
  • ensure meeting arrangements are to specifications during conferences
  • attend post-con meetings at the conclusion of conferences when necessary
  • ensure personal appearance is clean and professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or entire work shift
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
