This particular role is a Full-Time Non-Management Host/Group Coordinator position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, based at the JW Marriott property located at 2121 S Prairie Ave, Chicago, Illinois. Job Duties

  • Meet group coordinator and host(ess) prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable
  • Read and analyze banquet event order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, and specific guest needs
  • Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements
  • Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
