This comprehensive approach ensures that all facets of the event experience align seamlessly with client expectations and organizational goals. The position requires a proactive leader adept at managing both people and processes, including temporary staff, vendors, and volunteers.\n\nCandidates must hold a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in hospitality management, business administration, marketing, or a closely related field, coupled with at least five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and practical expertise. A valid Class D driver’s license with a good driving record is required and must be maintained throughout employment, reflecting the role’s occasional travel or transportation needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and an ability to work independently within broad administrative guidelines. Supervisory responsibilities include managing part-time employees and temporary staff, ensuring adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and practices, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.\n\nThe City of North Little Rock offers a competitive benefits package for its full-time, non-uniformed employees, including twelve paid holidays annually, 100 percent employee health insurance coverage, partial dependent coverage, paid life insurance, workers’ compensation, longevity pay, vacation accrual with increasing benefits based on years of service, sick leave accumulation, discretionary leave for eligible employees, and a mandatory contributory retirement plan.
