Known for blending cutting-edge technology with hospitality-driven service, Five Iron Golf creates a unique experience that appeals to both golf enthusiasts and entertainment seekers alike. Their venues offer a combination of sports bars, restaurants, and entertainment spaces designed to engage customers in a vibrant and inclusive community environment. The brand prioritizes innovation, inclusivity, and community connection, making it a popular destination for guests seeking a premium recreational experience.
The role of Event Captain at Five Iron Golf is integral to maintaining and elevating the customer experience during events of all sizes. This full-time, non-exempt position pays $22 per hour plus tips and involves hands-on leadership during event execution. The Event Captain will be responsible for ensuring that every event runs smoothly and delivers the brand’s promise of Best-in-Class Events. This includes managing event logistics, coordinating with staff, and liaising between various departments such as the kitchen and sales teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Specifically, the Event Captain will greet guests and oversee the preparation of event spaces, manage simulators and adhere to contract requirements, and take charge of financial closing related to events. The role also entails maintaining positive customer experiences by quickly resolving any issues, overseeing timelines, and fostering teamwork among event staff. The Event Captain collaborates in weekly meetings to review event plans and continuously contributes ideas to improve event operations and increase revenue. This position requires someone with excellent organizational and communication skills, a passion for customer satisfaction, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively across diverse teams. Physical stamina is necessary, as the position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, short-term disability coverage, accident and critical illness insurance, a 401(k) plan, and free meals while working for full-time employees. Five Iron Golf places a strong emphasis on diversity and is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and supported.
