Job Description

ONTHEMARC is a contemporary, full-service catering company widely recognized for creating memorable and impeccably executed events where great food and exceptional service are the top priorities. Founded in 2006 by Chef Marc Weber, the company began humbly in his parents' kitchen with a single station wagon and a simple vision: to deliver happiness by exceeding client expectations. Over nearly two decades, ONTHEMARC has grown exponentially into one of the most respected hospitality brands in the region, operating from a modern 15,000-square-foot industrial kitchen and office space. They serve an impressive portfolio of exclusive venues across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and beyond, supported by a dedicated workforce of over 40 full-time professionals and 600 part-time staff members.

The company culture at ONTHEMARC is deeply rooted in hospitality, humility, and excellence. The team values individuals who care deeply, maintain composure under pressure, communicate directly, and support one another. Warmth and professionalism drive their daily operations, and the company prides itself on adaptability, speed, and unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. ONTHEMARC is not merely in the business of catering events—they are creators of experiences that connect people, celebrate milestones, and redefine what hospitality means in the modern age.

The role of Event Bartender at ONTHEMARC is integral to delivering outstanding beverage service at diverse events ranging from intimate private gatherings to large-scale corporate affairs and gala dinners. This position demands proficiency in preparing and serving an extensive range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with efficiency, accuracy, and friendliness. The Event Bartender ensures full compliance with all relevant safety and legal regulations concerning alcohol service to create a secure and enjoyable setting for all guests. Beyond serving drinks, the role includes responsibilities such as setting up the bar area before events, managing inventory, and collaborating closely with event captains and team members to address specific event needs seamlessly.

Working as an Event Bartender at ONTHEMARC means being part of a vibrant, team-oriented environment that thrives on delivering excellence consistently. This role demands strong interpersonal skills to engage guests warmly and professionally while maintaining focus during busy service times. Physical stamina is necessary to stand for extended periods and perform tasks like stocking supplies, cleaning, and breaking down the bar after events. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential to accommodate the diverse scheduling needs of the hospitality industry.

At ONTHEMARC, aspiring candidates who share the company’s core values will find a fulfilling opportunity to grow and succeed. The Event Bartender role offers a platform to gain valuable experience in high-profile events, refine bartending skills, and contribute to an outstanding hospitality brand that values excellence and community. Through the combination of technical expertise, courteous service, and passion for hospitality, the Event Bartender helps craft an exceptional guest experience that aligns with ONTHEMARC’s mission of delivering unforgettable, quality-driven events that leave lasting impressions.
