Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in bartending or a related hospitality role
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Capability to handle physical tasks such as setting up and breaking down bar areas
  • Ability to operate small vehicles if required
  • Must be at least 21 years old according to legal alcohol service age
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must maintain a professional appearance
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

Job Duties

  • Assist in the successful execution of full-service events
  • Confirm event information with the direct supervisor including driving and parking directions, uniform requirements, and timing
  • Attend meetings as necessary at designated locations
  • Drive small vehicles, vans, or trucks as required
  • Arrive on time and dressed in the proper uniform
  • Maintain a professional appearance and mannerisms at all times
  • Follow health and safety practices
  • Bring a complete bar kit with necessary equipment and supplies
  • Set up the bar and arrange bottles and glasses attractively and efficiently
  • Slice fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Attend pre-event meetings
  • Provide courteous client and guest relations and create a great guest experience
  • Follow directions regarding bussing and clearing stations
  • Handle equipment, glassware, and plate ware safely and adequately
  • Clear dishes and glassware when needed
  • Pick up trash and keep guest areas clean
  • Mix drinks correctly under company liquor policies using measured pour spouts
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements
  • Maintain a sense of urgency on the service floor
  • Manage back and front of house productivity
  • Maintain teamwork and efficiency
  • Seek guidance from the direct supervisor when needed
  • Respond quickly to requests from guests, supervisors, or management
  • Provide friendly service ensuring positive experiences and customer satisfaction
  • Break down bars and pack soda, bottled water, and juices properly
  • Pack equipment to prevent damage
  • Remove linens and cloth napkins properly ensuring they are not disposed of
  • Clean all areas leaving them cleaner than found
  • Check out with supervisor before clocking out
  • Clock in and out for shifts
  • Maintain accurate availability profiles on staffing applicator
