Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior food service and/or bar experience required
- Able to lift and carry 50+ pounds
- Must be able to work inside or outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to pass background and child abuse clearances
- Two forms of official valid identification are required
- Comfortability working in a team and helping others

Job Duties
- Assist management in ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all areas of operation of the zoo
- Assist the zoo in fostering an appreciation of wildlife and their habitats that will inspire active participation in conservation
- Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures and safety protocols for the department and the zoo
- Creates a professional, prepared, and presentable work environment
- Able to read and follow event instructions as outlined in banquet event orders
- Responsible for managing the bar sales dependent upon the bar package for the event
- Enforcing responsible alcohol management practices, such as verifying age and identification
- Provide top tier hospitality and create a welcoming environment for event guests
- Able to be trained and operate in all of the event roles such as bartender, barback, runner, greeter
- Responsible for responding to guest inquiries and directing guests to appropriate parties within the zoo for further questions
- Comfortability working under pressure and with large crowds
- Ensures a clean and sanitary work environment
- Responsible for setup, operation, and breakdown of event bars in accordance with the instructions provided by the banquet captain
- Responsible for enforcing alcohol management practices
- Other event related tasks as per business needs
