As a venue that frequently hosts events, it understands the importance of seamless bar operations that not only meet but exceed client expectations. Located in Alabama, B&B offers part-time employment opportunities that provide a dynamic work environment within the hospitality industry. The company values professionalism, compliance with regulations, and a strong client relationship to foster memorable event experiences.
The role of Event Bar Manager at B&B is a crucial position responsible for managing all bar operations at a specific venue. This managerial role requires overseeing everything from staffing to inventory management, ensuring the bar is fully prepared for all events hosted at the venue. The Event Bar Manager must maintain the highest standards of beverage quality and presentation to enhance the overall guest experience. Leadership and team management skills are pivotal as the manager leads bar staff and coordinates with event planners to align bar services with the theme and requirements of each event.
This position entails vigilant inventory and financial management, including monitoring supply levels, ordering necessary items, and implementing effective inventory tracking systems designed to minimize waste and prevent theft. The manager also handles cash procedures, reconciles sales, and assists with sales reporting and budgeting efforts. Compliance and safety in all alcohol service and bar operations are upheld strictly, adhering to local and state laws as well as health and safety regulations.
Additionally, the role embraces client and guest relations with a proactive approach to engaging clients for their preferences and promptly addressing any guest inquiries or concerns. The Event Bar Manager works closely with event coordinators and participates in planning sessions to ensure bar services are tailored to each event’s unique needs. Flexibility is an essential attribute for this role, as the manager may be required to support other events outside their primary venue, provided schedules do not conflict. This includes adapting to different event environments and locations as necessary.
This part-time role offers a competitive pay rate of $15 per hour plus tips and gratuity, reflecting the level of skill and responsibility expected. Candidates must demonstrate at least three years of experience in bar or event management within the hospitality sector and hold certifications in Responsible Alcohol Service such as TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software, and extensive knowledge of beverage selection and mixology. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is mandatory to meet the demands of event schedules.
B&B reinforces its commitment to equal employment opportunity, ensuring no discrimination occurs based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information. It applies consistent procedures in its hiring practices, aiming to select the most qualified candidate. The Event Bar Manager role at B&B is therefore an excellent opportunity for experienced hospitality professionals eager to contribute to a vibrant and customer-focused event environment, guaranteeing satisfaction and smooth bar operations at every event.
