The hiring company is a top media and entertainment organization operating out of Burbank, California, known for its dynamic presence in franchise events and fan conventions. This company champions exceptional experiences in pop culture and fandoms, providing a vibrant, creative, and highly engaging work atmosphere. With a hybrid working environment based in their Burbank offices, the company embraces both remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, making it a compelling choice for eager professionals seeking to make an impact in the entertainment sector.

The role on offer is that of an Event Assistant within the Franchise Events team. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about organizing and executing large-scale fan conventions that resonate with enthusiasts, partners, and special guests alike. The Event Assistant will assume responsibility for pivotal planning and coordination tasks such as maintaining precise event schedules, budget oversight, and logistics management—key elements in delivering seamless events.

Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, the Event Assistant will help define event objectives and themes which ensure that every aspect of the event aligns with both the company’s brand and audience expectations. The role also extends to coordinating communication efforts and managing assets, maintaining a smooth information flow between all parties involved. Attending key strategy meetings and contributing to ideation sessions will enable this professional to influence the creative and operational direction of each event.

During events, the Event Assistant is entrusted with managing critical logistics including credentialing, accommodations for staff and participants, and supporting onsite operations like setup and teardown. The dynamic nature of event assistance requires the ability to react swiftly and effectively to any challenges or emergencies that may occur, ensuring minimal impact on the event flow.

This position requires some travel and flexible work hours, recognizing the need to adapt to the unique demands of event schedules and locations. The compensation for this role ranges from $26.00 to $28.66 per hour, reflective of experience and the specialized skill set required.

Moreover, confidentiality is paramount, highlighting the sensitive nature of the information handled in event coordination within a high-profile entertainment company. This role is developed for someone who can multitask efficiently, embrace shifting priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Joining this company means stepping into an energetic team where your enthusiasm for pop culture and fandoms will translate into memorable experiences for numerous attendees and industry partners. The hybrid work model supports a balanced professional lifestyle, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package for hourly employees, including medical, dental, 401(k), direct deposit, and commuter benefits—illustrating the company’s commitment to employee wellness and satisfaction.
