The role of Group Concierge at Hornblower Group is integral to maintaining and enhancing the company’s outstanding service standards, particularly in managing group guests after their purchases. This position focuses on developing strong relationships with clients by managing the vital details related to group events and logistics. Reporting to either the General Manager or Senior Concierge Manager depending on the port, the Group Concierge plays a pivotal role in driving post-purchase processes and increasing sales performance through upselling strategies. In this capacity, the concierge is tasked with not only ensuring smooth communication and coordination between sales, operations, and clients but also managing up to 50 events per month. The Group Concierge acts as the key liaison during events, overseeing product execution details, handling guest inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently. The role requires an individual who is flexible with work schedules, including night and weekend hours, to support site inspections and client meetings. This dynamic position blends sales acumen, customer service excellence, and impeccable organizational skills to contribute directly to the company’s revenue goals and guest satisfaction initiatives, embodying the RESPECT Service System that underpins Hornblower’s mission and values.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales support or as an event coordinator
- Effective communication skills in oral and written form
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong listening skills and ability to assess situations and suggest solutions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Flexible availability including nights and weekends
- Commitment to the RESPECT Service System and company values

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in sales support or event coordination
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented

- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce is advantageous
Job Duties
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all regional vessels, products and enhancements
- Take the lead on post-contract follow-ups including passenger count adjustments and upsells to groups
- Successfully upsells existing guests to higher-value options and enhancements
- Follow City Cruises guidance on when and how to follow up with clients to present revenue generation opportunities
- Handle objections by using vast product knowledge
- Maintain a flexible schedule including nights and weekends for site visits and client meetings
- Serve as a resource for the sales team, greeting clients upon boarding and conducting site visits
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client post-booking
- Be present during highly detailed events as liaison between sales and operations
- Communicate product details accurately to Food & Beverage and Operation teams
- Manage a minimum of 50 events per month including all cruise details
- Develop strong rapport with guests by thanking them, gaining feedback, asking for referrals and rebooking
- Work with management to resolve guest issues timely
- Manage administrative and operational activities including payment collection
- Respond to all post-booking inquiries leveraging deep product knowledge
- Ensure correct billing and payment collection for extra services
- Document guest interactions in Salesforce with detailed notes and task management
- Compile reports for bi-weekly meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned
