Known for community engagement and excellent service, Foothill Transit continuously works toward expanding its reach and effectiveness in addressing the transportation needs of a diverse population.

This opportunity is for a full-time, on-site Marketing and Communications Coordinator position within the Marketing and Communications Department, reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications. The salary range for this position is between $52,402 and $86,911, with most offers likely to fall in the lower half of this range. As a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this role demands meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Additionally, this role requires coordination and staffing of internal and external special events, oversight of promotional item procurement, and maintaining organized marketing files including online photo archives. The coordinator acts as a liaison for team scheduling, manages appointments, and assists with tracking community sponsorships, chamber memberships, and agency participation in local leadership initiatives. The position requires a dynamic individual who can multitask effectively, work independently under minimal supervision, and foster collaborative relationships within the team.

Ideal candidates possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong desire to promote collaboration and respect within the workplace. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project coordination tools is essential. The role demands a critical thinker with superb organizational skills and accuracy, who is able to present ideas respectfully and accept constructive feedback. While an interest in public transportation and urban planning is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or five years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or event planning. Demonstrated experience in event coordination and administrative functions with an eye for detail is required.
