Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven event management experience
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage industry
  • Experience managing a team
  • Budgeting experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and web-based tools
  • Availability for early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as required
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an event manager successfully executing multiple events simultaneously in different cities
  • Strong knowledge of the food and beverage industry with experience in menu creation for meetings and events nationwide
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience in creating and reconciling budgets preferred
  • Law firm experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and writing skills including interaction with C-suite individuals
  • Familiarity with working across multiple time zones and with team members in various locations
  • High proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and web-based programs such as Vuture, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
  • Graphic design skills in Canva or similar tools preferred
  • Well-organized and highly proficient at multitasking
  • Team-oriented, self-starter, good problem solver, and calm under pressure
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Budgeting, site visits, vendor requests for proposals, production schedules, issue resolution
  • Coordinating and executing tasks for successful event and hospitality execution considering financial and time constraints
  • Maintaining accurate records for all events, hospitality functions, and event travel
  • Managing event-related lists including contacts, attendees, sponsors, volunteers, and collaborating with marketing teams for guest lists and name tags
  • Coordinating on-site event elements such as setup, signage, registration, food and beverage, technical requirements, cleanup, and trade show support
  • Executing flawless virtual events from start to finish including event creative, calendaring, and back-end tech support
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure procedural compliance and timely notifications for in-office events
  • Managing hospitality services including day-to-day requests for meetings, firm-wide food and beverage, coffee, and kitchen supplies across multiple offices
