Job Requirements

  • One year catering sales management work history preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Some level of management skills desired
  • Refined verbal and written communication
  • Ability to keep up with a fast paced environment
  • Ability to stand and/or walk entire shift
  • Must be available nights and weekend
  • U.S. work authorization

Job Duties

  • Make decisions within specific guidelines
  • Conduct regular client site visits to showcase the property and available services
  • Seek information from clients about their business needs and budget guidelines
  • Plan and detail events with customers from start to finish according to guest requests in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Negotiate pricing and prepare contracts securing customer signatures
  • Follow up promptly with potential customers providing requested information
  • Build out logistical details using event software for onsite teams and clients
  • Coordinate professional services such as DJ, florist, AV, rental companies
  • Lead BEO meetings to communicate event details to operations team
  • Compose and distribute routing correspondence, reports, and group resumes
  • Work closely with front desk to ensure reservation and room block accuracy
  • Coordinate all aspects of room blocks including rooming lists, cut-off dates, and contracts
  • Confirm event setup with operations team according to BEO
  • Achieve quantitative sales goals and provide regular sales productivity reports
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through constant communication during events
  • Follow up post-event to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate billing with restaurant management
  • Keep all parties informed of changes or issues
  • Respect co-workers and managers
  • Respond promptly to guest requests
  • Maintain clear communication between staff for event success
  • Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Foster a fun and memorable experience for guests
