Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in event coordination or athletics operations preferred
Ability to work 30 hours per week including nights and weekends
Knowledge of NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules and regulations
Ability to manage physical tasks involving light work
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills

Demonstrated leadership skills in managing staff and volunteers
Knowledge of NCAA and/or collegiate athletics regulations and policies is a plus
Ability to work nights and weekends

Job Duties

Create game day and event documents such as timing sheets, visiting team guides, security notes
Organize and run event operations meetings
Coordinate with teams, officials, and visiting teams on game-day needs
Lead in set-up and striking of required gameday equipment
Supervise event staff working varsity sports to ensure proper management
Be responsible for maintaining NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and compliance with Austin Peay State University policies
Assist in scheduling table crew and game officials
Work with the Athletic Business Office to ensure all game day staff receive payment including third party staffing, table crew, officials
Attend game management meetings for football games, the United Athletic Conference Championship, and the FCS Playoff Games
Assist game manager in assigned area
Perform all other duties as assigned
Maintain NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and Austin Peay State University rules compliance
Work nights and weekends and occasional travel as required
